However, despite the anticipation, the movie failed to impress at the box office, marking a disappointing turn for the talented actor. Exactly one year ago, Agent made its grand entrance into theaters, only to fade away swiftly. While Akhil delivered a commendable performance, the film’s lack of freshness and flawed execution contributed to its downfall, leaving it a mere memory in the minds of audiences. Yet, remarkably, there’s a growing anticipation for its digital release.
Initially scheduled for release on May 19, 2023, Sony LIV later postponed the date to September 29, 2023. However, subsequent delays have occurred, leaving fans eagerly awaiting any official announcements regarding its digital premiere.
One major hurdle hindering its OTT release is an ongoing legal dispute between the Vizag distributor and the producer. Despite this setback, Akhil’s devoted fanbase remains hopeful, urging for a swift resolution to pave the way for the movie’s long-awaited debut on the digital realm.
Featuring an ensemble cast including Mammootty, Sakshi Vaidya, and Dino Moriya, Agent boasts the storyline penned by Vakkantam Vamsi and is produced by Ramabrahmam Sunkara. Adding to its allure is the musical score crafted by Hiphop Tamizha.
