Ali Fazal’s much-awaited investigative crime thriller Raakh has finally arrived on OTT. The gripping web series made its digital debut today and is now available for streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
Directed by Prosit Roy of Paatal Lok fame, Raakh is inspired by the notorious Ranga-Billa case that shocked the nation in the late 1970s. The eight-episode series follows the brutal kidnapping and murder of two teenagers, leading to an intense nationwide manhunt led by a young police officer. The narrative alternates between the investigation and the dark origins of the criminals, creating a tense and engaging viewing experience.
Ali Fazal plays Sub-Inspector Jayprakash Jatav, a determined cop tasked with cracking the case. Sonali Bendre and Aamir Bashir appear in pivotal roles as the grieving parents of the victims, delivering emotionally charged performances.
