On Valentine’s Day, the Telugu movie Couple Friendly hit theaters. The youthful romantic drama, starring Santosh Sobhan and Manasa Varanasi, was also released in Tamil and received decent reactions from critics and audiences alike. The film is directed by Ashwin Chandrasekhar.
Today, Amazon Prime Video brought the film to its platform. Interestingly, the streaming service released separate versions for different languages instead of offering multiple audio tracks in a single version, which is the usual practice on OTT platforms. Even more interestingly, the Kannada version has been quietly added to the Telugu version. The remaining language versions are expected to be made available soon.
The film’s soulful music, aesthetic visuals, and lively performances made it a fairly watchable romantic drama during its theatrical run. It remains to be seen how the movie will perform and find its audience in the OTT space.
