Horror Sensation ‘Obsession’ Finally Out on Digital, But Indian Fans Miss Out

The breakout supernatural horror thriller Obsession has emerged as one of 2026’s biggest surprise blockbusters. Made on a micro-budget with no major stars, the film has won widespread acclaim from both critics and audiences. Much of the praise has gone to Inde Navarrette, whose chilling performance as Nikki Freeman, alongside Michael Johnston, has become one of the film’s biggest highlights.

For those waiting to watch it at home, Obsession has finally arrived on premium video on demand (PVOD). The film is now available to rent or purchase on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Google TV, and YouTube Movies in select regions outside India. However, it is still not available digitally in India.

Keep in mind that PVOD rentals are priced much higher than a regular streaming subscription and, in many regions, even cost more than a movie ticket. If the film is still playing in cinemas near you, the theatrical experience remains the best way to enjoy its unsettling atmosphere and scares.

Directed by Curry Barker, Obsession continues its phenomenal box office run. The film has grossed over $370 million worldwide, making it the sixth highest-grossing horror film of all time. In India, it has also emerged as a massive success and is now closing in on the Rs. 100 crore milestone.
