Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu teamed up for the fourth time with Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, their first pan-Indian project. The film finally released in theatres on December 12, 2025, after multiple delays.
The movie is now set for its OTT release. Netflix, which holds the digital rights, has announced that the film will start streaming from January 9, 2026. Apart from Telugu, dubbed versions in other languages will also be released.
Though the film connected with a section of the audience, it did not translate into big box office numbers. With its Netflix release, Akhanda 2 will get another shot, and it remains to be seen how it will fare with home viewers.
The cast includes Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinisetty, Kabir Duhan Singh, Harshaali Malhotra, Saswata Chatterjee, and others. The film is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta, with music composed by Thaman.
