Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan’s new movie Madharaasi was released in cinemas on September 5, 2025, to mixed reviews. The action drama is helmed by AR Murugadoss, and Kantara Chapter 1 heroine Rukmini Vasanth plays the female lead.
After four weeks in theatres, the movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. In addition to Tamil, it is also available in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Whether home audiences will embrace it remains the big question.
Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal plays the antagonist in the film. Madharaasi is bankrolled by Sri Lakshmi Movies and features a soundtrack composed by Anirudh Ravichandran.
