Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal’s new film Govinda Naam Mera will be releasing directly on Hotstar on the 16th of December. The makers unveiled the film’s trailer today, and it is thoroughly entertaining. Govinda (Vicky Kaushal), who doesn’t want to live with his bullying wife, Gauri (Bhumi Pednekar), asks her for divorce. But Gauri demands two crores as alimony.
He then meets his girlfriend Suku (Kiara Advani), with whom he has a choreography business and whom Govinda wants to share life with. Govinda approaches his wife with a rifle, and we then hear a gunshot. Though no dead body is shown in the trailer, Govinda and his girlfriend become the prime suspect in the murder case.
Whom did Govinda kill? Did he kill his wife? If so, where is the dead body? The trailer leaves behind these questions for the audience. The comedy and romantic portions suggest that the film is a proper commercial entertainer. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Govinda Naam Mera is directed by Shashank Khaitan.
