PAN Indian blockbuster Puspha: The Rise completes a year

Back when Icon star Allu Arjun and Sukumar announced Pushpa, audiences got pretty excited. The reason was due to the craze this actor-director combination had. From the release of the first poster, the film gained very good buzz and hit the screens on 17th December 2021.

It has been exactly one year since Allu Arjun set the screens on fire as Pushpa Raj. The mass areas went berserk with Pushpa Raj’s mannerisms, and especially the North belt went into overdrive mode. The film has collected 108 crores net here, which is a remarkable achievement.

The film collected 365 crores gross from all the languages in its final run, making it the highest Indian grosser in 2021. Pushpa also holds the record for the first-ever Indian album to hit 6 billion views, and DSP was once again lauded for his composition. For 2022 Pushpa is the most-watched film on Amazon Prime Video.

The film bagged 7 Filmfare awards and 7 SIIMA awards. Pushpa also holds the record for the highest TRP for Telugu movies in 2022. The movie’s teaser is the most viewed and liked Tollywood teaser. Sukumar’s powerful storytelling and how he designed Allu Arjun’s character made the film achieve many records.

Pushpa was released with fewer promotions, but the content helped it become a huge PAN Indian blockbuster. Now the sequel, Pushpa: The Rule, has gigantic expectations all over the country, and fans are just waiting for its release. So let’s see what more new records Pushpa Raj would create.
