Peddi is the latest Tollywood biggie, released on Thursday to positive feedback from audiences and fans. The pan-Indian rural sports drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead.
The movie has completed its three-day box office run, pulling in an impressive global gross of Rs. 236.7 crore. Bookings for Sunday’s shows are even stronger than Day 3, indicating the film will post higher collections today than it did on Saturday.
Since there are no major theatrical releases next week, Peddi is poised for an extended run. Strong word of mouth, along with an upcoming reduction in ticket prices, will likely drive even larger crowds to the theaters.
Alongside Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, the film features an impressive supporting cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani, and Divyenndu Sharma. Backed by Vriddhi Cinemas, the movie features a musical score composed by AR Rahman.
