One of the most anticipated PAN Indian biggies Ponniyin Selvan is releasing this 30th of September. A grand audio launch event was conducted today in Chennai and all the cast and crew attended it. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan were the chief guests.
The theatrical trailer was released at the function which starts with Rana’s voice-over. It assures a promising storyline backed by enchanting visuals. The grandeur in the frames is awesome with some breathtaking visuals. The film is all about the Cholas and the politics involved during their period.
Mani Ratnam’s endeavor is clearly visible in every shot. A lot of effort was put in by him and his team for this larger-than-life story. Also, we had the glances of all the lead cast Vikram, Karthi, and Jayam Ravi. Like always, Aishwarya Rai and Trisha are a treat to watch here. Karthi’s role looks more compelling and strong though.
The trailer has surely raised the expectations of the film by miles. Seems like audiences are in for a wonderful ride along with some powerful storytelling by Mani Ratnam. If the film manages to repeat the same magic then the box office will be on fire completely.
Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions have bankrolled this mega-budget period drama. AR Rahman gave the music. The film is based on the novel Ponniyin Selvan written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film will have a second part as well.
