Poor release plan for Nayanthara’s Annapoorani

In the much-anticipated 75th film of Lady Superstar Nayanthara, titled Annapoorani, directed by debutant Nilesh Krishnaa, the curtains are set to rise tomorrow for its theatrical release.

For a milestone project featuring such a renowned actress, expectations naturally lean towards a grand release strategy. Surprisingly, the Tamil film has opted not to venture into Telugu or any other language for its initial release. The concerning aspect amplifies as not a single show is scheduled in Hyderabad, marking a significant missed opportunity for the star heroine.

While future plans to release the film in other languages may exist, the decision not to have even a limited release of the Tamil version in Telugu states, where Nayanthara holds a substantial fanbase akin to Tamil Nadu, feels like a strategic oversight.

Produced by Jatin Sethi and R Ravindran under Zee Studios, Naad Studios, and Trident Arts, Annapoorani boasts an extraordinary cast, including Jai, Sathyaraj, KS Ravi Kumar, Redin Kingsley, Achyuth Kumar, Kumari Sachu, Renuka, Karthik Kumar, and Suresh Chakkaravarthy. Thaman contributes his musical brilliance to elevate this cinematic journey.
