Popular actor Rahul Ramakrishna has sparked a major debate on social media with his strong comments about the current state of cinema and empty movie halls.
The actor stated that if a film cannot overpower summer heat, heavy traffic, parking struggles, rising petrol prices, costly snacks, taxes, and the overall exhaustion of modern life, then filmmakers should not expect audiences to step out and watch it in theatres.
He further mentioned that empty cinema halls are an honest reflection of the poor quality of content being delivered these days.
According to him, audiences are no longer ready to spend money and energy on mediocre films when entertainment is easily available at home through OTT platforms.
His comments quickly went viral online, with many movie lovers agreeing that only genuinely engaging films can now pull crowds to theatres regularly.
