Tollywood’s December release calendar is getting increasingly crowded. Prabhas’ Fauzi was locked for December 3, 2026, but the arrival of Vishwak Sen’s Legacy on December 4, along with the reported plans for Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma and Dulquer Salmaan’s Sri Sri on December 3 and 4, respectively, has sparked strong speculation about a postponement.
With Fauzi still being filmed under Hanu Raghavapudi’s direction, the Sankranthi 2027 window is now being discussed as a possible alternative. A shift could also trigger further changes, as several films are already lined up for the festive season.
Prabhas has previously had Sankranthi releases with Varsham, Yogi and The Raja Saab. If Fauzi joins the 2027 race, it could add to an already packed lineup that includes Chiranjeevi’s Kaaka, Venkatesh’s January 12 Vidudala, PVCU’s Mahakaali, Sambarala Yeti Gattu and George Krish.
Fans are eagerly waiting for clarity on Fauzi’s release plans, with the focus now on an official update from Mythri Movie Makers. Imanvi makes her debut as the female lead, while Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Jayaprada and others play key roles. Vishal Chandrasekhar is composing the music.
