Young Kollywood actor-director Pradeep Ranganathan has just scored his second Rs 100 crore movie. It’s well known that his previous movie, the sensational romantic comedy Love Today, amassed over Rs 106 crore in its lifetime.
Pradeep’s recently released youthful entertainer, Dragon (Return of the Dragon in Telugu), has surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone at the global box office on its 10th day. The film’s producer, Archana Kalapathi, has confirmed that Dragon has achieved this humongous feat. The film is still going rock steady at the box office and has set its eyes on the lifetime collection of Ajith’s Vidaamuyarchi (Rs 140 Cr).
Coincidentally, Dragon has also surpassed the $1 million milestone in North America in 9 days. While the film’s Tamil version has grossed $673,763, the Telugu version has collected another $355,330, taking the latest total to $1,029,093 in the North American region.
Dragon is directed by young Tamil filmmaker Ashwath Marimuthu. The film also stars Anupama Parameswaran and Kayadu Lohar in lead roles. Leon James is the film’s music composer. The AGS Entertainment banner has bankrolled the project.
