Prasanth Varma who created a sensation with HanuMan planned to make a film titled Brahmarakshas with Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. However, Ranveer Singh opted out of the project due to creative differences and later the film landed in PAN India star Prabhas’ hands.
Prabhas also underwent a look test for the film in Hyderabad and it was expected that the official announcement will come out soon. Bhagyashri Borse was reportedly roped in as the female lead. However the official confirmation didn’t happen yet, and rumors suggested that the movie has been put on hold. At SIIMA Awards 2025, Prasanth Varma opened up about his project with Rebel Star.
The Zombie Reddy director said, “Can’t comment on it yet. Be prepared. We are ready to shoot. Once we get the actor’s (Prabhas) dates, we will take the film on the floors.” Prabhas is currently busy with The Raja Saab and Fauji. After completing these two films, he will move on to Spirit. He also has Salaar 2 and Kalki 2 in his pipeline. Where Prasanth Varma’s film will fit into Prabhas’ lineup remains to be seen.
