Filmmaker Prashant Varma announced that he will be directing the sequel to Awe! soon. The original film, produced by Nani and Prashanti, had Kajal, Nithya Menen, Regina, Eesha Rebba, Ravi Teja, Priyadarshi and several other actors playing key roles. However, it remains to be seen who he is going to cast in the second film in the series.

Few days ago, he refuted rumours that he had once again approached Nani to produce Awe 2; however, the director claimed that the script of Awe 2 is crazier than the first part. Just a few days after revealing that he hasn’t found a producer yet who is willing to back him, the filmmaker has now announced that he will start shooting the film as soon as his current commitments are over. “Good news.. #Awe2 is ON! Will start shooting as soon as I finish my current commitments. 🖖🏻,” Prashant Varma posted on Twitter.

Interestingly, Awe! won couple of National awards for best Make-up and best VFX, and it was also praised for its intricate storyline and performances by a section of the critics and audiences. Will Awe 2 also follow the same template or will Prashant choose a different theme? Let’s wait and watch.
