Following the explosive release of the official Dragon glimpse, which received a sensational response, director Prashanth Neel sat down for an exclusive interview with noted film journalist Baradwaj Rangan. During the conversation, Neel revealed that the highly anticipated Jr NTR starrer will eventually unfold as a patriotic drama.
In a surprising revelation, Neel admitted that he wants to move away from his signature dark action entertainers in the future. The filmmaker shared that he has been yearning to make Indian mythology based films for nearly two decades and assured that this creative shift will happen once he completes his current commitments.
This means audiences can expect a completely different cinematic world from the director in the years ahead. For now, however, Neel stressed that his full focus remains on perfecting Dragon.
He further added that if any fresh ideas emerge for Salaar 2, he would rather channel them into Dragon itself. Riding high on the massive response to its first glimpse, the film is now gearing up to unleash total mayhem in theaters worldwide on June 11, 2027.
