The makers of Thalaivi, a biopic on yesteryear heroine and former CM of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa, have already announced that the film will have a theatrical release on June 26, 2020.
But due to the unexpected Corona crisis, the film release is postponed as there is no clarity on when the theaters will reopen.
Meanwhile, the latest buzz circulating among Tamil sources is that the makers are considering an OTT release of the film. Buzz is also that the film will be divided into episodes and go for streaming like a web series.
Directed by AL Vijay, the film also stars Aravind Swamy and Prakash Raj in key roles. Vishnu Induri is the producer.
