Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming Malayalam action crime thriller Khalifa is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on August 20, 2026, during the Onam festive season. Directed by Vysakh, the film has been carrying strong expectations with its impressive cast and action-packed premise.
The latest update is that Khalifa has completed its censor formalities and received a U/A certificate from the CBFC. With the certification now cleared, the film is all set for its scheduled theatrical release.
Prithviraj plays the lead role of Aamir Ali, while the film features Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Krithi Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal and Indrans in key roles. Mohanlal is said to be playing Mambarakkal Ahmed Ali.
