Mollywood star Prithviraj Sukumaran’s action drama Khalifa is all set for its theatrical release tomorrow in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. Directed by Vysakh, the film is arriving in the Telugu states with limited buzz ahead of its release.
The Telugu-market promotions have been relatively low-key, and the bookings have opened to a lukewarm response so far. With limited promotional activity in the Telugu states, Khalifa will need strong word of mouth and positive reviews to make an impact in the market.
Prithviraj plays Aamir Ali, while Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Krithi Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Malvika Sharma and Indrans appear in key roles. Mohanlal plays Mambarakkal Ahmed Ali, Aamir Ali’s grandfather.
