Leaving millions of his fans shocked and heartbroken, Kannada Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar breathed his last yesterday morning (Oct 29) after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. Puneeth’s mortal remains were brought to Sree Kanteerava Studio in Bengaluru, where he will be buried next to his legendary father Rajkumar’s grave as per his family’s wish. Even Puneeth’s mother Parvathamma was buried in the studio premises.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has announced that Puneeth’s last rites will be performed on Sunday with full state honors after his elder daughter Vanditha Rajkumar returns from the US. On the other hand, thousands of fans are rushing to Kanteerva Stadium to see their matinee idol one last time and pay their respects. On the other hand, the entire state has been under high alert since yesterday. Liquor shops, educational institutions and movie theaters are shut to avoid unwanted incidents.
