A couple of days ago, director Puri Jagannadh and his production partner and actress Charmme announced that they will be offering monetary assistance to 20 struggling directors and co-directors of Tollywood. The money was to be distributed at all event today, on the occasion of Puri’s birthday.
Now, it has been learnt that upon knowing about Puri’s initiative, several more strugglers who have been left with no work approached Puri and Charmme, seeking their help. Touched by their plight, Puri and Charmme have decided to extend their financial help to 10 more people.
Now, 30 veterans from the direction department will be given Rs 50,000 each, making it a total of Rs 15 lakh. Well, this is surely going to be a birthday for Puri.
