Liger starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, was directed by maverick filmmaker Puri Jagannadh. This PAN Indian film came amidst humongous expectations, but it disappointed fans and audiences big time and ended up as a failure.
In a surprising turn of situations, Puri Jagannadh has now filed a Police complaint against the film’s distributors, G. Shobhan Babu and Warangal Sreenu, stating his concern that both of them might instigate violence and harass his family in his absence.
Puri Jagannadh explained that Warangal Sreenu is supposed to pay the amounts to his co-distributors but is defaulting them. Puri wrote that Warangal Sreenu had falsely represented him as the one responsible for making the payments to the aggrieved parties.
Puri Jagannadh stated that this is a clear-cut case of blackmailing and harassment to extract money from him illegally. The director mentioned the possible dharna that could happen at his Hyderabad residence and requested police protection for him and his family. We need to see where this ends.
