The PAN Indian biggie Pushpa 2: The Rule has taken the box office by storm. The Allu Arjun starrer collected over Rs. 800 crores in the opening weekend, which is the highest for any Indian film. The mass action drama has shattered many box office records in Bollywood, including the opening day and opening weekend collections.
In international markets, Pushpa 2 collected about Rs. 151 crores gross ($18 million) in the first four days. The major contribution came from North America, with about Rs. 80 crores gross, while the second highest contribution came from GCC, with around Rs. 31 crores gross. The Hindi version is performing tremendously and has, in fact, started dominating the Telugu version.
The bookings look promising for weekdays, and we need to see what more records Pushpa 2 will create in the coming days. Rashmika Mandanna played the female lead, and Fahadh Faasil essayed the antagonist.
