American musician Raja Kumari, who impressed PAN-Indian audiences with Jawan and Telugu audiences with They Call Him OG, makes her debut as a music director with Impure, composing alongside Karan Pandav. She also lends her voice and rap to OMG, the film’s Sangeet song.
Directed by Nishanthi Evani, Impure explores purity, societal beliefs, and the consequences of chasing connection, dreams, and passion. It stars Yashna, Varahi, and Sai Krishna, with Varahi Mallipamula and her mother, Sridevi Mallipamula, producing. Nandhini Reddy launched the trailer, which promises a bold, comedy-driven take on today’s social issues.
Raja Kumari’s Sangeet song, with Telugu lyrics by Kadali Sathyanarayana, takes on the “women are too much” conversation. Varahi also danced to the song in Times Square, while Raja makes a special cameo in the film. Impure releases in theatres on October 2.
