It is well known that maverick director SS Rajamouli assisted his guru and veteran director K Raghavendra Rao before he directed the hit TV serial Santhi Nivasam and later Student No. 1. Yesterday, KRR commenced his ‘KRR Classroom’ online tutorial in which shared several important insights about ‘What it takes to be a director?’

This morning, Rajamouli took to Twitter and went nostalgic about his Assistant Director days under his guru KRR. Jakkanna tweeted, “50 years of experience condensed into few minutes. KRR’s classroom is a must watch for every film enthusiast. @Ragavendraraoba sir applied your suggestions to my asst dir days.”

Rajamouli further revealed how important it is for aspiring directors to be ever attentive on sets saying, “I was so shy under kranthi garu and quite active under you which eventually resulted in my first break student no:1. So so important for the asst directors to be active and observant.”
