Rajamouli’s Varanasi Becomes First Indian Film to Screen Its Teaser at This Prestigious Venue

Varanasi, directed by S. S. Rajamouli, is being made on a sensational budget of over Rs. 1300 crore, as per reports. The globetrotting film is led by Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu and renowned Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.

The latest update is that the movie’s announcement teaser, which made fans go gaga, is now set to create history. The news is that Varanasi is going to be the first Indian film to screen its promotional content at Le Grand Rex, Paris. The screening will happen at 9 PM on January 5, 2026.

French distributor of Indian movies Aanna Films confirmed the news, and this is expected to attract attendees with the teaser being showcased on the large screen in a rich format.

Rajamouli is leaving no stone unturned to keep Varanasi in global news. The filming will last for another eight months, and the team is planning a March 2027 release.

Mollywood star Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the villain in this movie, which is being produced by K. L. Narayana under Sri Durga Arts, along with S. S. Karthikeya of Showing Business. The music is composed by Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani, while the story and screenplay are written by Vijayendra Prasad.
