Superstar Rajinikanth graced the grand audio and theatrical trailer launch of Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan – 1 last night. Starring Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and others in significant roles, the movie is up for a grand theatrical release worldwide on September 30, 2022.
While speaking at the event, Rajinikanth revealed an interesting fact about Padayappa (Narasimha). He said that Neelambari character portrayed by Ramya Krishnan is inspired by Nandini’s character from Kalki’s Ponniyin Selvan novel. Aishwarya Rai is roped in PS-1 to play Nandini.
Coming to Rajinikanth, he will be seen next in Jailer under the direction of Nelson Dilipkumar. Ramya Krishnan is also confirmed to play a key role in this film, which commenced its regular shoot a few days ago. Keep watching this space for more interesting movie updates.
