Superstar Rajinikanth’s movie Vettaiyan, directed by T.J. Gnanavel, was released in 2024 in both Tamil and Telugu. While it was not a box office sensation, the film received appreciation from a section of the audience for its content. Amitabh Bachchan played a key role in the film.
Now, Vettaiyan is back in the headlines as the Telugu version is set for its first television premiere. Gemini TV is gearing up to telecast the movie on February 16, 2025, at 6 PM. It remains to be seen how the film resonates with home audiences.
The movie also features Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Fahadh Faasil, Ritika Singh, and others in pivotal roles. Produced by Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan is complemented by Anirudh Ravichander’s musical score.
