Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh Cuttputlli was directly released on Disney Plus Hotstar last week. The film received below-par reviews from critics. It is the official remake of the blockbuster Ratsasan.
Criticism started on the film for its romantic angle. Few opined that the love track killed the thrill of a mystery thriller. Now Rakul has responded to this criticism. She stated that few audiences like dance, romance, and songs.
She further stated that Telugu films are doing well due to the entertainment factor. She added that people have been going through a tough phase due to Covid for the past two years and hence they made this film for family audiences.
