A potential remake or sequel to Megastar Chiranjeevi and legendary diva Sridevi’s blockbuster yesteryear socio-fantasy drama, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, has been a hot topic for years. There have been numerous demands for casting Chiru’s son Ram Charan and Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor in the sequel/remake. JVAS is gearing up for its re-release on May 9.
In a special interview that also features his father, Chiranjeevi; JVAS director K. Raghavendra Rao; and producer Ashwini Dutt ahead of JVAS’ re-release, Ram Charan made an exciting statement that again made his fans and movie lovers speculate about a possible sequel/remake.
Talking about JVAS’ climax, Charan said, “We, the audience, still want to know what happened to the ring and that fish at the end of the movie. Only one person can answer – Nag Ashwin. We are not just asking; we are demanding an answer from you!” Needless to say, Charan’s comments hint at Nag Ashwin helming a possible sequel from the point where JVAS’ story ended.
Expressing his love for JVAS, Ram Charan further said, “This is a dream team. Legends like Ashwini Dutt garu, Raghavendra Rao garu, Ilaiyaraja garu, Vincent garu, and Paruchuri Brothers worked together. Such a legendary collaboration is rare. Maybe I became a Hanuman devotee after listening to the Jai Chiranjeeva Jagadeka Veera song in my childhood. It’s the most memorable film. It’s a magical, adventurous, romantic movie.”
