The timeless epic ‘Ramayana’ is set to return to the big screen with a fresh vision. Headlined by Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, the Nitesh Tiwari directorial is being mounted on a massive budget of over Rs. 4000 crore.
Fans awaiting updates on the film have two major reasons to celebrate. The first is that Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has secured the all-India theatrical distribution rights, a move expected to further strengthen the film’s nationwide release.
The second update is that the team is gearing up to unveil the trailer on July 18, 2026. It was previously screened at CinemaCon and will now be released digitally for audiences worldwide. Yash plays Ravana and is also co-producing the film. Sunny Deol stars as Hanuman, while Ravie Dubey plays Lakshmana.
Produced by Namit Malhotra under Prime Focus Studios in association with Monster Mind Creations and the Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG, Ramayana is being shot for IMAX and will also release in Dolby Cinema formats. The first part is slated to hit theatres during Diwali 2026.
