Allari Naresh is returning to his forte, comedy, with Ramba Oorvasi Menaka, a fantasy comedy directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada. The film blends humour and fantasy with a unique backdrop. Produced by Razesh Danda and Nimmakayala Prasad under Annapurna Studios and Hasya Movies, the movie has already created buzz with its first look and the popular song Naa Kanti Meedha Kanule. The teaser has now been released.
The teaser revolves around a magical family book that is believed to have the power to bring Ramba, Oorvasi, and Menaka from Indra Lokam to the human world. A father spends 25 years trying to make it happen, and his wish finally comes true. But instead of bringing him happiness, the arrival of the three celestial beauties creates a series of problems.
Allari Naresh looks perfectly suited for the role and gets plenty of scope to showcase his comic timing. The rural setting and unusual situations add to the fun. Surabhi is the female lead, while Vennela Kishore plays Indra. His appearance in the final portion, where he delivers the popular “Kathanduko Janaki” line associated with Krishnam Raju, is a highlight.
Naresh VK plays Allari Naresh’s father, while Rashi Singh, Vishnupriya, and Prisha Singh appear apt as the celestial beauties. Srinivas Reddy, Racha Ravi, and Muralidhar Goud are also part of the cast.
Director Chandra Mohan Chintada appears to have focused on keeping the film as a complete entertainer, with fantasy and comedy driving the narrative. Raam Reddy’s cinematography captures the rural atmosphere as well as the grandeur of Indra Lokam. Brahma Kadali takes care of the art direction, while Chaitan Bharadwaj’s energetic score adds to the entertainment. Chota K Prasad is the editor.
Ramba Oorvasi Menaka is set to hit theatres worldwide on September 4. The teaser promises a light-hearted fantasy comedy with Allari Naresh’s humour at its core.
