A couple of days ago, Rana Daggubati took to Twitter and cautioned his fans and Kollywood circles about the producer of his long-delayed Tamil-Telugu bilingual period drama, 1945. Rana said that the film is incomplete and that he was shocked to see the makers releasing its first look.
However, 1945’s producer SN Rajarajan, in his reply to Rana’s tweet, said that the film is complete and went on to release the first look poster. Now, Rana, in an interview with a popular English daily, said that he will take legal action against the producer if he releases 1945.
“I was shocked to see the first look announcement. I haven’t met the crew for over a year. There is a lot of work pending on the film. Many of my portions are yet to be shot. If they are planning to go ahead with the release, I will have no choice but take legal action against them,” Rana said.
On the other hand, 1945’s director Sathyasiva said he is very happy with the content and that Rana had even completed dubbing for the film’s Tamil version. “I guess there’s some misunderstanding between producer and Rana. I really hope they sort out their differences, as the Telugu rights and satellite rights have been sold,” the director said.
