After 5 long years, hotshot Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to make his directorial comeback with a romantic musical. Karan made the announcement via his Twitter account just a while ago. Titled Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, the film has young Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
“Thrilled to get behind the lens with my favourite people in front of it! Presenting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, headlined by none other than Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt and written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan & Sumit Roy,” Karan tweeted this morning. The film will be jointly produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions and Viacom 18 Studios banners. The film is slated for release in 2022.
