Bollywood couple Genelia and Ritesh Deshmukh remade the Telugu blockbuster Majili in Marathi as Ved. The movie was released last Friday, and it good a very good response from critics. The word of mouth has also been positive.
Till now, the film made a total of 27 crores and is on track to become a blockbuster. The film registered solid growth yesterday upon, the second Friday, and the collections are expected to increase further today.
Though Bollywood has been trying remakes off late, many didn’t work, but Ritesh Deshmukh adapted the film nicely and showed his directional skills. Another key decision was remaking the film in Marathi, as the Hindi dubbed version was already available. Genelia produced this romantic sports drama.
