While Ram Gopal Varma fans await an update on Syndicate, the filmmaker surprised them with the sudden announcement of his next film, Police Company. Along with announcing the project, RGV also unveiled three stills of Harshvardhan Rane, who will play the lead, instantly creating excitement among fans.
The film is being made in collaboration with Bollywood banner T-Series and comes with the tagline, “It Is More Dangerous Than D Company.” According to RGV, the story is inspired by the Mumbai Police’s special squad that took on the city’s underworld during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Police Company focuses on Daya Nayak, one of the squad’s prominent members, with Harshvardhan Rane portraying the character. The film is said to have a huge ensemble cast; details about the other actors are expected to be announced soon. More updates about Police Company are awaited.
