For the last few years, most of eccentric filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s movies, except Officer with Nagarjuna, had a negligible release in the twin Telugu states. He seems to be happy making low budget thrillers for digital platforms. But he is now planning something big for his upcoming film, Deyyam.
Deyyam, starring hero Rajasekhar and Bigg Boss Telugu dame Swati Deekshit, is releasing on April 16. During a recent promotional event, RGV revealed that Deyyam will be released in over 600 screens across the world. This is a huge release for an RGV film and Rajasekhar’s presence might have prompted him to plan such a wide release.
Jeevitha Rajasekhar, Natti Karuna, Natti Kranthi and Boggaram Venkata Srinivas are the producers of this horror thriller. The film was earlier titled Pattapagalu and it was supposed to hit screens nearly 3, 4 years ago.
