SS Rajamouli is currently busy making Varanasi a grand spectacle to showcase what Tollywood can pull off on a global scale. Mahesh Babu plays the lead role in this big-budget film, which is scheduled for a worldwide release on April 7, 2027.
In a recent interview with Hollywood media outlet Polygon, SSR revealed an interesting update about his last outing, RRR. He said he is planning to make an RRR anime adaptation.
He added that he has been in talks with several Japanese studios regarding the project. Though nothing has officially begun yet, Rajamouli, who is now addicted to anime, is being appreciated by anime lovers for this decision.
Varanasi is currently in the shooting stage, and a few interviews featuring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran have been released.
The globetrotting film is being produced on a massive scale and budget under the banners Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business. Oscar winner MM Keeravaani is composing the music for this mega project.
