Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan is gearing up for a grand release this September 30th. In the recently held audio launch event, the film’s trailer was released and it has raised the expectations of one and all. Popular production houses are releasing the film in various languages.
In Hindi, the film will be releasing through PEN Movies which has released the PAN Indian blockbuster RRR there. Recently PEN Movies also released Sita Ramam’s Hindi version. As this popular production house is now associated with Ponniyin Selvan the film is set to get a good number of screens.
Also, it will be clashing with the Bollywood biggie Vikram Vedha which also releases on the same date. It will be interesting to see how this mega budget period drama fares in the North region. Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies produced this two-part film that has a huge star cast. AR Rahman is providing the music.
