Fans of RRR are up with humongous pride and joy as the film got nominated for the prestigious Golden Globe Awards yesterday. Wishes started to pour in from all corners for SS Rajamouli, NTR, and Charan, appreciating their efforts.
One interesting fact is that RRR became the first film in the last two decades to get nominated for Golden Globes Awards. The previous movie before RRR to get nominated for these awards was Monsoon Wedding (2001) in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
RRR became the third Indian film to get nominated for these iconic awards, and the other movie in this elite list is Do Aankhen Barah Haath (1957). So to be precise, RRR is the first Telugu film to achieve this feat. The best part is that Naatu Naatu is the first-ever Indian song to get nominated for these awards.
