Rajamouli’s heavy-budget periodic action thriller RRR is slated for release on 13th October. But the second wave of Covid seems to have resulted in change of plans.
RRR is still in filming phase and the remaining portion can be shot only after the second wave nullifies. Even after the shooting is wrapped, the post-production will take a whole lot of time, given Rajamouli’s attention to detail and no-compromise attitude.
It would be almost impossible for team RRR to complete the shoot and be done with post-production by this October. Another factor is the decline in footfalls at cinema halls. The situation is expected to get better only by early 2022 or later.
With all this mind, team RRR is said to have decided to push the release to next summer.
