The Saaho box-office records mania has begun. Even though Saaho opened yesterday to lukewarm reviews, the unlimited craze and hype surrounding the film have ensured that the film has broken several non-Baahubali and in a few areas even Baahubali records.
In Chennai, Saaho’s Telugu, Tamil and Hindi versions together collected a gross of Rs 73 lakhs on the opening day. And in entireTamil Nadu, Saaho’s all the three versions reportedly collected a whopping Rs 4 crore day 1 gross (approx).While the Tamil version collected Rs 36 lakhs, the Telugu version collected Rs 32 lakhs, which is an all-time record opening, surpassing Bharat Ane Nenu’s 27 lakh day 1 feat. And then Saaho’s Hindi version collected Rs 5 lakhs.
Despite the mixed reviews and an average word of mouth, Saaho will surely have a rock solid opening weekend. But the acid test for the film’s stamina begins from Monday. Stay tuned for more box-office updates.
