Chennai Love Story, starring Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya, will open with paid premieres tomorrow. The trailer surprised audiences as the makers themselves described the film as a “Cult Classic” at the end even before the release.
Reacting to it, the film’s story writer and producer, Sai Rajesh, said, “Cult means a film that didn’t get the desired response in theatres but later became a favorite among audiences through repeated viewings. By that logic, Chennai Love Story shouldn’t do well. It was during Baby’s release that director Maruthi garu said it would become a cult film. SKN liked that word immensely and started using it extensively, almost forcing it on the audience.”
