Sailesh Kolanu is busy promoting his upcoming film Saindhav, which features Victory Venkatesh as the protagonist. A few months back, there were reports stating that Sailesh directed a few sequences for Ram Charan’s Game Changer.
In a recent interview, Sailesh gave clarity regarding this aspect. Sailesh said, “For any film, there will be certain B-roll shots. They don’t include the main artists and an example of that is a vehicle passing shot. Generally, Shankar sir won’t ask others to direct those shots. But once, sir got stuck in a location. Shankar sir said only an experienced director should direct those shots.”
Sailesh continued, “Dil Raju sir called and asked if I could direct those shots. Hence, I worked for one or two days since Shankar sir wasn’t available. I didn’t direct any sequences in Game Changer. Dil Raju sir is like my family. The shots that I directed are fillers. In fact, I ask my assistants to complete those shots for my films. I was surprised when Shankar sir instructed that an experienced director should do it.
“I like Charan Anna and grew up watching Shankar sir’s films. That is why I completed the task given by Dil Raju sir. I don’t even know the story of Game Changer. I don’t know what the film is about. I wish a great success for Game Changer. I hope Shankar sir comes up with something nice,” noted Sailesh.
