Audiences are set to witness the biggest clash in the Indian film industry this Christmas season with Prabhas’ Salaar and Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki. While Salaar is directed by Prashanth Neel, Dunki is helmed by maverick Rajkumar Hirani. Salaar is a full-blown mass entertainer, while Dunki promises to be a simple and heartwarming flick.

Salaar is arriving in theatres on 22nd December. But until now, Dunki makers have never revealed the film’s official release date officially. So far, the makers unveiled a teaser (Drop 1) and a few posters. The promotional content didn’t contain the release date, but it is mentioned that the film will arrive for Christmas 2023.

Are the makers playing it safe by not announcing the release date? As per reports, Dunki makers are planning to release the film on 21st December. If Dunki makers announce the release date, there is a possibility that Salaar makers can prepone the release. This might be one reason why makers wouldn’t have revealed the release date.

Interestingly, Dunki standees have been dispatched to theatres across the nation where the release date is written as 21st December. The release in foreign markets will happen on the 21st, as informed by the distributors themselves. Mostly, the official release date announcement is expected to come along with the trailer.
