Salman Khan is an actor and a producer, and with his upcoming film Race 3, he is also turning a distributor. Interestingly, the actor revealed that he wants to take this a step further and establish his own theater chain.
Apparently, the actor’s team has been working on his dream project for the past couple of years and it is taking more time than he had envisioned. The first cinema hall in this theater chain, named ‘Salman Talkies’, is likely to be set up outside Mumbai and the actor seems to be keen to reach out to people from all sections of the society.
Buzz is that the ticket rates will be brought down to make it more affordable for everyone. “In Bollywood, we get the big numbers, but we need footfalls too. I hope we too adapt the South Indian film industry’s model where tickets are reasonably priced,” Salman Khan. The actor is expected to expand his plan of a natjon wide theater chain over the next 10 years, after establishing the brand in Maharashtra.
