It is well-known that actress Samantha will be essaying a crucial role in Mahanati, the much-awaited biopic based on the life and legacy of legendary yesteryear heroine Savithri.
The makers have kept everything about the project under wraps so far. However, the latest scoop reveals that Samantha will be essaying the role of a journalist who frantically researches about Savithri in the movie. Mahanati’s story is narrated through Sam’s character.
Apparently, the film’s director Nag Ashwin is designing Sam’s character based on the 80’s journalists. The film’s team is currently busy doing extensive research to bring in the authenticity factor. Keerthy Suresh is reprising Savithri’s role in this period drama.
