For some time, there have been speculations that Akshay Kumar will star in the Hindi remake of Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Now, the rumors have intensified, and it appears that the Hindi remake is likely to materialize. It is said that Anees Bazmee, who made entertainers like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Singh Is Kinng, will direct the Hindi version.
Dil Raju will reportedly bankroll the Hindi remake as well under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. In this OTT era, it remains to be seen how the remake will fare, especially given the fact that many remakes haven’t succeeded in Bollywood post-pandemic.
