Kollywood star Suriya teamed up with Malayalam filmmaker Jithu Madhavan for his 47th film, officially titled Scene. The project brings together the Aavesham director and Suriya for the first time, with Nazriya playing the female lead. Naslen, Anand Raj, Lal, and Raj Priyan are also part of the cast in prominent roles.
The title glimpse has now been unveiled in Telugu, and it introduces Suriya as DSP Premraj, a rather eccentric police officer. The voiceover sets up his peculiar personality and establishes the quirky tone of the film. His arrival at a crime scene adds to the humour, while his unusual habits and eccentric nature make the character instantly intriguing.
The glimpse then shifts gears with Suriya’s proper introduction. He makes a stylish and commanding entry, walking alongside a constable with his hand resting on his shoulder. His dialogue about his ability to track down even the toughest criminals gives the sequence a strong mass elevation, followed by a warning delivered in his trademark style.
Suriya is clearly the highlight of the glimpse, dominating the screen with his swagger, attitude, and energetic presence. His mannerisms, body language, and dialogue delivery give the character a distinct flavour. Jithu Madhavan appears to be bringing his trademark eccentricity to the protagonist, promising another unconventional and entertaining character.
Vineeth Agustine’s cinematography gives the glimpse a stylish visual appeal, while Sushin Shyam’s energetic score enhances the mass moments. Billed as an action-comedy entertainer, Scene is jointly produced by Jyothika and Suriya under Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment, with Jayashree Damodaran serving as the co-producer. The makers have also announced November 6, 2026, as the worldwide theatrical release date, coinciding with Diwali.
